No. Natural latex has an open-cell structure, and every pillow is moulded with thousands of tiny pinholes, so air moves through it rather than being trapped. It sleeps cooler and more evenly than memory foam, which tends to hold heat.

New latex has a faint, slightly sweet natural smell — a bit like vanilla. It's harmless, it's not chemical off-gassing, and it fades within a few days of unboxing. Air the pillow in a ventilated room and it disappears faster.

Natural latex is naturally hypoallergenic and resistant to dust mites, mould, and bacteria. The OEKO-TEX Class 1 certification means it's tested safe even for babies. If you have a diagnosed latex contact allergy, note the latex is enclosed in a cotton cover, but consult your doctor first.

No. If you return a pillow within the 100-night trial, we email you a prepaid return label — there's nothing to pay. For hygiene, returned pillows are never resold; they're donated to charity instead.

Once we receive your returned pillow, your full refund goes back to your original payment method within 5 business days. Your bank can take a few extra days to show it.

The cotton cover unzips and is machine washable. The latex core itself should never be machine washed or tumble dried — spot clean with a damp cloth and air dry away from direct sunlight.

Always use a pillowcase, air the pillow out for an hour or two each month, and keep it out of prolonged direct sunlight, which breaks latex down over time. Natural latex resists dust mites, mould and bacteria on its own, so it stays fresh with very little effort.

Every pillow has a 2-year warranty from delivery, covering defects in materials and workmanship such as splitting, crumbling or loss of shape beyond normal wear. It doesn't cover machine-washing the latex core, stains, or the normal gradual softening every pillow material experiences. This is on top of your rights under the Australian Consumer Law.
